Patriot of the Year Award, 2014
At our Chapter's Annual Membership Appreciation Dinner [17 January 2015] our Chapter Commander, James "Eddie" Weathers, was presented the Patriot of the Year Award.
Eddie received the award due to his many accomplishments this year. He spearheaded many projects which helped local Veterans. Whether it was helping homeless Vets, providing aid to Veterans in Hospice care or bridging the divide between Veterans and Civilians. On top of all that he was able to execute the plan to make Sierra Vista the second city in Arizona to become a Purple Heart City.
Eddie is a true American Patriot and he sets an exemplary standard for other Chapter Members to emulate. He does so not through his words but through his deeds.
Crongratulations Eddie!

El Tour De Tucson, 2014
Our Chapter Commander and Chapter Adjutant were at it again, racing in yet another cycling event. This time they competed in the El Tour de Tucson 40 mile race on November 22, 2014. Both Patriots had issues during the race but overcame those hurdles and finished in good time! And in the Gold Medal Catagory!!

THE VALOR GAMES SOUTHWEST IN SAN ANTONIO, TX
Congratulations to Chapter Adjutant and Finance Officer Christopher Vedvick! Patriot Vedvick competed in the 2014 Valor Games Southwest in San Antonio, TX - in the cycling and kayaking events. Through his strong will and determination, Christopher placed fourth in BOTH events, we are very proud of him! As usual, Christopher's performance is in keeping with his die hard efforts of not letting his injuries keep him down, he is the epitome of Patriotism and Americanism! Job extremely well done!!

Congratulations to Past Chapter Commander Todd Hamilton for receiving the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award which is presented annually to company grade officers who epitomize the values championed by MacArthur: Duty, Honor and Country. From the entire U.S. Army, Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard, only 28 Company Grade Officers were selected for this prestigious Award. Well done Todd |
